IN MEMORIAM

ANDREW M. GILEWSKI (Prep '33), of Gulliver, Mich., died Feb. 23, 2003. He was 87.

MICHAEL A. GUEST, SR. (Honorary '58) died Dec. 6, 2002. He was 97. Born in 1905, he grew up in the area of St. Albertus Parish and the Polish Seminary, before it moved to Orchard Lake. He maintained law offices in Detroit and Hamtramck, and in the late 1940s, he was an assistant prosecuting attorney for Wayne County. Upon his retirement in 1978, he moved to Florida.

MARIAN JAGODZINSKI (Honorary '94), of Dearborn, Mich., died Feb. 24, 2003, at the age of 81. Ms. Jagodzinski was National Vice President of the Orchard Lake Ladies Auxiliary for 14 years, a long-time secretary of the Ladies Chapter 3, a member of the Ladies Day General Committee, and the recipient - with her late sister, Dorothy - of the 1981 Ladies Auxiliary Convention Merit Award.

REV. ALOYSIUS J. KISLUK (College '53, Seminary '57) died unexpectedly March 4, 2003, at Hale Hospital in Haverhill, Mass. He was 73. Since 1988, he had served as pastor of St. Mary of Czestochowa Parish in Middletown, Conn., where he had also served as an assistant pastor from 1964-1971. Fr. Kisluk, who was ordained in 1957 for the Diocese of Norwich, also served parishes in New London, Jewett City and Rockville.

MSGR. JOHN J. MIRECKI (Prep '47, College '51), died April 27, 2003, at St. Joseph's Guest House in Huntington, N. Y. He was 74. Msgr. Mirecki was pastor since 1986 of St. Isidore's Parish, Riverhead, N. Y., where he had served as an associate pastor for eight years following his ordination for the Rockville Centre Diocese in 1955. All of his assignments on Long Island were at Polish national parishes. Among diocesan roles he served were director of the Catholic Rural Life Conference and on the board of the Priests' Advisory Council (precursor to the current Senate of Priests). He was also a board member of the Polish American Priests Association. A generous benefactor of the Schools and its various projects, he was a member of the Chancellor's Senate and a contributor to The Annual Alumni Fund every year since 1956.

DR. LEONARD W. WADES, of Owosso, Mich., died Feb. 7, 2003, at the age of 80. He was a member of the Founder's Day General Committee for 20 years. Dr. Wades was a decorated World War II veteran, a graduate of the University of Detroit Dental School and a commercial artist.

JOHN B. WISNIEWSKI (Honorary '54), of Northville, Mich., died March 4, 2003. He was 80. Mr. Wisniewski was a member of the Orchard Lake Ambassadors and the Chancellor's Senate. His late wife, Genevieve, was a long-time National Secretary of the Orchard Lake Ladies Auxiliary. The family suggests memorial donations to the Orchard Lake Schools.
